Michael practices in the firm's Business Services Practice Group, concentrating in the areas of corporate and commercial law, intellectual property and non-profit corporation law. He has represented large, medium and small Maine businesses, advising them regarding structuring, financing, acquisitions, sales, contractual and related matters.
Mike received his bachelor's degree from Bowdoin College (magna cum laude, 1982) and his J.D. from Cornell Law School (1985). He is the author of American Maize: The Duty of Directors in Maine Mergers.
Mike serves as a Director of Portland's Downtown District, and as an incorporator of the Deering Pavilion elderly housing facility in Portland. He serves on the Maine Medical Center Planned Giving Committee and the Children’s Museum and Theatre of Maine Advisory Council.
